This tool enables the selection of individual ‘themed’ layers of information to be shown on the map.
Pass the arrow cursor over the ‘Themes’ button, click once with
the left-hand mouse button, this will bring up a list of selected themes to
the left of the map window.
Move the cursor over your chosen theme and click once to select. The map may
appear to change ‘style’, this is because it is presenting the map
information in a different way. Individual themes may display particular features
such as trees or electricity substations, or it may present the map as aerial
photography, or as a landline map. Once the theme is chosen, the information
displayed will remain the same (until another theme is selected), regardless
of scale or level of detail on the map. So you can zoom in or out, pan the map
or click for information, within each theme.
